All programmes combine language development with practical communication training. We work on the English itself — grammar, vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation and recurring mistakes — and apply it directly to the professional or academic situations where you need it. Each 1:1 programme starts with a consultation, and every price covers the complete programme.

Intensives start with a minimum package of eight 90-minute sessions. Networking & Self-Presentation and Presentation Coaching are available as shorter packages.

A different kind of English lesson

Hi, I’m Milena. I teach English to people whose ideas are usually more complex than the English they have time to formulate. Researchers explaining years of work in three minutes. Professionals who know exactly what they want to say in a meeting, but join the conversation five seconds too late. Founders explaining the same idea differently to an investor, a colleague and a client.

I know this problem from both sides. I am a pharmacist by training and hold an MSc in Bioengineering from KAUST; I have worked in scientific research and on projects across biotechnology, healthcare and innovation, and in startups — from finding the customer problem to pitching the idea. For around seven years I have been teaching English to individual students, groups and corporate clients, and I am completing TESOL training through Arizona State University.

What the work taught me

These worlds have more in common than they look. Science taught me to work with complex ideas, entrepreneurship that a brilliant idea is useless if nobody understands why it matters, and teaching how differently people think and learn.

Grammatically correct English is only a small part of successful communication. You also need to read the room: what can be said directly, what has to be implied, how much explanation is enough, how to disagree without damaging the relationship.

Language development is an essential part of my work. We work on grammar, vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation and recurring mistakes whenever they limit your communication. Instead of separating “learning English” from “using English”, we connect the two: you learn the language you need and immediately practise using it in the professional situations that matter to you. What changes after a few sessions

What people mention most often is not “my English improved”. It is that something they had been getting wrong for years finally made sense.

What I value most about working with Milena is that I’ve never seen English taught from this perspective before. We don’t just look at grammar, vocabulary or whether a phrase is technically correct — we try to understand the logic of a person from a particular cultural background: how they are likely to interpret what you say, what they may read between the lines, and why the same message can sound completely different to people from different cultures.

A lot of the material is connected to topics and situations that are actually relevant to me, so the lessons never feel abstract. We work on how to express an idea precisely, how I sound to another person, and how to make my speech more natural, confident and appropriate for the situation.

I also feel very comfortable during the lessons. There is space to ask questions, make mistakes and discuss nuances without feeling judged. We can notice a recurring problem, work through it in different contexts and come back to it later, so it is quite easy to see the progress over time.

For me, the lessons are not just about “improving my English.” They help me understand how communication actually works between people with different cultural backgrounds and become much more conscious and confident in the way I use English.
